Ceramic Powders, Inc. was incorporated in 1964. It was founded by Herbert R. Toler to manufacture industrial grade powders used primarily for electronic, chemical, insulator and automotive applications. In 1979, after a successful first 15 years, Ceramic Powders, Inc. designed and built a modern 21,000 square foot manufacturing plant on four acres of land in an industrial park located on the south side of Joliet, Illinois. In 1991, a 6,000 square foot addition was added to the plant, and yet another addition is currently being contemplated for the near future. Ceramic Powders’ technical personnel work closely with our customer’s engineers and quality personnel to meet with the stringent manufacturing requirements of our clients. The powders that we process include both soft and hard ferrite powders as well as alumina, steatite, and cordierite powders. These products can be processed into molding powders, which can be pressed into various shapes, as well as powders for extrusion and embedding applications. Ceramic Powders, Inc. has a complete line of formulations for each type of technical ceramic powder. We also manufacture proprietary formulas for individual customers on an agreed basis. Ceramic Powders, Inc. products are sold directly to manufacturers in the United States and through an agent to manufacturers in Europe.
